Writing About Your Photographs

Online Course

with Dr. Darlene O'Dell

You know how it goes... albums of photos sitting on shelves, filled with memories and stories. Unfortunately, unless you have saved the stories, they won’t be remembered. Do you have a plan for saving and sharing those memories?

We are excited to announce Dr. Dar’s new 6-session Zoom course “Writing about Your Photographs.”

The first session introduces you to the art of writing about photographs. In the next 5 sessions, Dr. Dar guides you through timed writing and shared reading based on prompts from her new book Dr. Dar’s Freewriting Prompts: Writing about Your Photographs. There’s no critique in this course, only positive feedback. Our main focus is hearing one another and offering support. This course is for you, if you want to…

  • Explore your own stories with a small, supportive community of storytellers at all levels.

  • Come away with stories to share with family or friends during the holiday season.

  • Commit to saving your life stories for generations to come.

Course participants will receive a PDF version of the book included with their registration fee of $200.

Classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the first 3 weeks of November. Sign up for either the midday (noon-1:30) or evening option (7:00-8:30).

Feel free to bring a meal, if you like!
